The Period and the Pause
From
Menarche to
Menopause
Why can't I…? Why not…? Science says this, but the restriction is old. We've all questioned the rules handed down around the menstrual cycle — and rarely gotten a real answer. This workshop gives you one.
We were told the rules. Never the reasons.
Why can't I enter the kitchen, touch a plant, or step into a temple during my period?
Is there real science behind these restrictions, or are they just old habits nobody questioned?
What actually happens to the body during menopause, and why does no one talk about it?
Ritu Vidya — the science behind menstrual practices
Ritu Vidya looks at menstrual and menopausal traditions the way they were meant to be looked at: as practical, observed wisdom — not as rules to obey without question.
Across two hours, we'll walk from menarche to menopause — the biology, the rituals built around it, and the reasoning that has been lost in translation over generations.
The practice — what was done, when, and how it was passed down through households and generations.
The reasoning — the observation and logic that originally sat behind the practice, before it hardened into rule.
"Understand the Achara behind the Vichara."

Ritu Marga runs community-first sessions that put real science and real conversation back into topics that are usually left unspoken.
Question openly
We start with the "why" behind every practice, instead of accepting it as given.
Learn together
Sessions are built as conversations, led by resource people who've done the research.
Carry it forward
Every attendee leaves able to explain the "Achara behind the Vichara" to someone else.
